The Social Value Business work in partnership with the Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership to administer the Cheshire and Merseyside Social Value Award.

The Award is centred on 4 theme areas. It is these areas that public sector organisations across Cheshire and Merseyside have committed to delivering impact and value in. About the Social Value Award

The Cheshire and Merseyside Social Value Award aims to help your organisation to achieve your staff and volunteer recruitment and retention strategy, deliver Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Social Value and recognises your organisation as an ‘Anchor Institution’.

The Social Value Award enables, supports and recognises organisations who:

  • Improve motivation, performance, productivity, health and wellbeing for staff and volunteers;
  • Showcase the ethical and moral contribution that your organisation makes to our local communities;
  • Improve the reputation or brand loyalty for your organisation, and therefore increase the awareness, appeal and sustainability/market share of your organisation;
  • Improve the effectiveness, efficiency of your organisation, and creating added value for the services provided by your organisation (Public Sector);
  • Maximise your organisations strengths and offer (buildings, knowledge, skills, resources) for the benefit of local communities;
  • Build connections and collaborations to achieve community outcomes, and mutual benefit across sectors and organisations: Public Sector, Business and Industry, Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise Sector;
  • Enhance learning and leadership across Public Sector, Business and Industry, Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise Sector;
    Create local opportunities for social innovation;
  • Maximise local investment and support the growth of the local economy.
  • Collaborate and work in partnership with complimentary organisations to deliver enhanced services.

Social Value Quality Mark

The Social Value Award acts as a recognised pathway onto the Social Value Quality Mark. The Mark is recognised by those who support the Social Value Award, as a way of increasing the legitimacy, transparency and trust in Social Value research, measurement and reporting. It is managed independently by the Social Value Quality Mark CIC.

Those who have been successful in achieving the Social Value Award, will be eligible for a 10% discount against the costs associated with the Social Value Quality Mark.

The Quality Mark comprises of 4 Levels

Commitment – Forecast – Evaluation – Embed

Recognition

Our team will review your information provided and access it in accordance with the Award requirements.
SVB will award the Mark. (if applicable) The organisation will receive an awardee pack, this will include:

  • A Social Value Mark logo
  • A certificate
  • Example social media activity
  • Potential Next Steps and Sign Posting
Your organisations will be added to the Social Value Award directory for a period of 5 years.
